What is Freelance Work | Advantages and Disadvantages

If you think you have some guts or skills to complete a task, then there is a bright option for you to convert your skill into money. And this will be possible by joining freelancing websites.

What is freelance?

A simple answer of definition which I think for a freelance is to earn living by working independently for others like companies on getting temporary contracts.

Benefits of Freelance work:

As a freelancer there are a lot of benefits you can have many benefits or advantages. Some of them I will summarize for you, like;

1. You don’t have any boss on you. I point out this point as an advantage because there are a lot of people get fear from their boss, and don’t want to work under someone.
2. You can work from anywhere, like from your home, school, park, hotel. No need to go office with proper wearing.
3. The full credit of your work only goes to you. Because in offices we saw that there is a lot of politics and you also didn't get full fruit of your work.
4. Flexibility of time is one of main benefit of freelancing job, because it totally depends on you at what time you want to work, at night, midnight, morning or in between anytime in day.
5. You can control your work load in better way as a freelancer worker, which is little hard in office job. For example if you think you have enough load, then you will not bid for any more project, or only accept only those projects which you think are more comfortable with your daily schedule.

Disadvantages of Freelance Work:

As most of things in world, freelance working also has some disadvantages. Like;

1. It can suck your social life. Because as a freelance worker you have to work alone, in spite of office job you may come in contact with humans and other living. But in freelancing, your home is your office and your Smartphone/laptop is only your friend.
2. The second point which I think is disadvantage for a freelancer worker is that his/her income is not fixed, and you can’t make plan for future in better way as fixed income people.
3. As freelance job is fully based on internet, then there are some chances that anyone can make you fool. It is observed that 5-10% of people made fool by project owners, because they didn’t pay them after work.
4. It took a lot of time to establish you name as a freelancer.
5. There is also lack of benefits available to freelance worker. For example; holidays, insurances, holidays.
